The Bad News
You and I are sinners. This sin separates us from God and demands punishment. God won’t overlook it or dismiss it saying “She was having a hard day” or “It’s not that big of a deal.” He is a just God and takes sin seriously. No amount of good works can repair or repay Him. There will be a punishment and sins against an eternal God demand an eternal punishment.
The Good News
But God…in the greatest act of love ever known – sent His Son Jesus to earth. Jesus lived a perfect life, died on the cross paying for the sin of everyone who would believe in Him and then rose again proving that HE is God and that everything He has said is true.
He made a way for us to have a relationship with Him by taking the punishment Himself.
To be saved, one has to put their faith in Jesus Christ. It’s no magical prayer. It’s choosing to live a life of repentance and faith – repeatedly turning from sin and choosing to trust in Jesus and what He has done. It’s about a relationship with the One who knows you fully and loves you completely.
It’s an invitation open to you. Will you trust Jesus today?
